1. What Heads Up Board is

Heads Up Board is a shared planning board that helps households and teachers see school projects, excursions, lessons, activities and chores early enough to prepare. It is a reminder tool — it does not guarantee that a reminder is delivered, correct or complete, so please don't rely on it as your only safeguard for anything important.

2. Your account

You need a valid email address or a Google account. You must be old enough to hold an account under the law where you live; children join through a household invite from a parent or guardian. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you.

3. Households, roles and codes

The person who creates a household owns it. Parents and co-parents can add, edit and remove members, rename the household and manage items. Caregivers and children can see the board and tick things off, but can't change the household setup. Family and class codes let others join, so share them only with people you trust — anyone with a code can join.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You keep ownership of what you enter. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display it to the people you've shared it with. You agree not to: upload unlawful, abusive or infringing content; enter someone else's personal information without their permission; add sensitive details about children beyond what's needed; attempt to access another household's or class's data; or interfere with, scrape or overload the service.

5. Teachers

If you post class updates, you confirm you're entitled to share that information with the parents who follow your class code. Don't post individual pupils' personal details in class updates — they're visible to every connected household.

6. Agent and third-party integrations

If you connect an AI assistant or another tool, you authorise it to read and add items in your household on your behalf. You are responsible for what you connect and can disconnect it at any time.

7. Availability and changes

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may add, change or discontinue features, and there may be downtime for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for missed deadlines, missed events, costs or inconvenience arising from your use of the app. Nothing here removes rights you have that can't legally be excluded.

9. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from Account & settings; deletion is immediate and permanent. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or puts others' data at risk.
